Congratulations to Mrs. Mitchell!!! She is the
recipient of the Outstanding Middle School Counselor Award for
the year! Way to go Mrs. Mitchell!!

Congratulations - In February, we had ten students
who took the American Math Competition contest for 10th
grade. We had two students who scored very well. Marie
Armbruster reached the Achievement level, and Nelson Ng scored
Honors level. Nelson will take the AIME which is an
invitational test next week. Over all, our students represented
the school very well.

Congratulations to our state fair winner in
Biology won by Sarah Arthur-Paratley! We are proud of you
Sarah!!!

Free Parenting Program - Thursday
evenings January 28 - April 15. Light meal 5:30 - 6:00.
Groups meeting 6:00-7:30. Free. RSVP at

Development, Discipline, Communication, Managing Stress and
Anger, Academic Problems, Fostering Self-esteem. Family

Calendar - The school board has
set the dates for all our snow days (to date), the
last day will be June 3rd.

Applications for summer
gifted program scholarships - Due by March 19th
* Spanish Immersion 8th grade students will
be gone to Costa Rica March 11 – March 20.
* 8th grade trip is
March 17th -20th to Philly.
* The Bryan Station
Middle School PTSA meeting for this Tuesday has been cancel
due to conflicting meeting/sports schedules. There will be a
breakfast meeting on Thursday, March 18th for anyone
interested in attending. Please contact

3rd Quarter has changed due to snow
days. End of the 3rd quarter is now March 18th.
Wed. March
24th, is our target date to mail home.
March 18th will also be the last day to take
an AR test for the 3rd quarter. AR Prize day will be
April 8th.

Renovation Update
* Due to the
economic hardships at this time, Bryan Station faculty and staff
understands how difficult it can be on our families. We
have found a resource that may benefit you and your family.
The Angel Food
Ministries can help with lower food bills. Check out
the site for more information. Also, families who are able
to give to this cause, can also donate to help families in our
community.

Accelerated Reader account by using Home Connect.
If you would like to see your child's AR account email me,

for your child's log-on information. You may access Home
Connect from the school's home page under library or parent
information. Students and parents may also check the
database to see which books are AR. There are over 120,000
tests.

Our
school is collecting “Box Tops for
Education” as a fundraiser for our school. Box Tops
can be found on General Mills products, including Pillsbury,
Betty Crocker, Green Giant, Yoplait, Progresso, Old El Paso, Pop
Secret, Ziploc, Nature Valley, and many others. Go to
www.btfe.com for more info. Box Tops can be placed in
collection bins located throughout the school.
